LMFT-A Supervision

First things first! Congratulations—you’ve made it through what was likely a rigorous Masters or PhD program and you’ve come out on the other side, a proud graduate. If you are anything like me, you have a complexity of feelings about this accomplishment. On one hand, you’re proud of what you have done—grad school is no joke. On the other hand, you can’t believe that you have so far to go (Okay—I’ll be honest here, I really thought, “I can’t believe I have two more f@$%ing years before I’m licensed!”).

The dream of having your own thriving practice is closer than ever, but before you get there, you will have to put in hours—both in contact with clients and with your supervisor. I was lucky to have the best type of supervisor, one with loads of expertise, patience, and that was able to push me to be better for my clients. I will be forever grateful for the experience I had with my supervisors, and I count their supervision as one of the best investments in my self and my career.

If you are looking for a supervisor for you LMFT license, I offer free 20-minute consultations to discuss supervision options with trainees. Email me using the form below. I respond within 24 hours (except on weekends).
